Lunch & Learn: Annual Meeting Research Highlights

From May 15 to 19, the largest gathering of gene and cell therapy professionals joined us in Washington, D.C. and virtually to share the latest research in the field. Revisit some of the most relevant findings during this Lunch & Learn for the patient and advocate community!

Agenda

Speaker: Denise Sabatino, PhD, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia

Members of the Patient Outreach Committee were onsite at the meeting attending oral abstract sessions and preparing to report on any new and relevant findings. The goal of this Lunch & Learn is to focus on why this information might be important to certain disease groups and how it impacts the field more broadly. Of the more than 30 abstract sessions taking place throughout the week, the group narrowed it down and will be sharing findings on the following themes:

  • Key takeaways from Dr. Kathy High’s Presidential Symposium
  • Duchenne muscular dystrophy
  • Immune response (neutralizing antibodies)
  • Blood disorders (sickle cell disease, hemophilia B, X-SKID)
  • COVID-19
  • Pompe disease and MPS
